I am an easy going happy man and enjoy my four children and ten grandchildren. I have two sons out of state with their families and my daughter and youngest son live near with their families. The numbers have gotten smaller but we attempt to have a family meal every 2nd Sunday at Grandpa's.
I was happily married for 35 years but she left this life a little too early at 54, when walking with her girlfriend & gone in 3 hrs. I've learned a lot about the atonement of Jesus Christ and what families can endure and carry on. The temple is a place of healing I found!
I had worked for nearly 36 years for Dept of Defense and ended my civilian career with the Air Force at Hill AFB, last Dec. I had enjoyed being with the F-16 Division with Foreign Military Air Forces. I'd been blessed years ago to have programs which took me on both sides of the ponds to help various air forces with contracting needs. I found that people enjoy you more if you know something of their history and culture. I plan to be with family more and enjoy things of interest to me plus helping the Kingdom of God in some way.
I enjoy museums, art exhibits, and musical events. I enjoy attending live plays and have had season tickets to Hale Center Theater for over a decade. I especially love the Shakespearean Festival / B&B's and plays in St George but have missed going for the last couple of years. I love to travel and consider after 2 cruises that it's the best way to go. I have a great love for our country and believe that it needs a major course correction. I am an avid photographer and am known to always have my Nikon near me to catalog visually my family's history. I didn't last long with retirement but work now part time at a local funeral home. I also am training to be a service missionary at the Church museum when it reopens this Oct. I love to stay busy but would rather be busy with a companion, holding hands and making memories together. I also have missed the past few years, the dinner & dance held at Utah State for the Big Band sounds.
The gospel of Jesus Christ and His Atonement are a major player in my life and family. I currently teach gospel doctrine and substitute when the high priest wish me to teach. I look forward to working at the Church museum when it reopens in Oct 2015.Being single I can't go on a couples mission but I have a strong desire to go on missions when hopefully married, till my body says stay home and do things around the area. I enjoy temple work and attempt to go each week. I have a sister that I hired help me with names and it's wonderful to have a pile of family cards to take to the temple.(140 on reserve) My church ancestors go back to the first group of saints baptized in England by Heber C Kimball. I can't let them down and have a testimony of the Church. I am enjoying retirement. Any questions, send me a message. I like messages, than smiles.
