I am an easy going happy man and enjoy my four children and ten grandchildren. I have two sons out of state with their families and my daughter and youngest son live near with their families. The numbers have gotten smaller but we attempt to have a family meal every 2nd Sunday at Grandpa's.
I was happily married for 35 years until one memorial day weekend, when my sweetheart died of two massive blood clots while walking with her best girlfriend in the morning. I've learned a lot about the atonement of Jesus Christ and what families can endure and carry on. I have also found that I want to even be better with my next companion. I recall and feel like Elder Nelson said about a young couple sitting in front of them on the airplane and the husband wasn't paying attention to his wife. He wanted to shake the guy and tell him to wake up. I now see that in observing married couples and want to tell the husband to hold his wife's hand or give her a kiss. Tell her that he loves her. It goes both ways and I want to build on what I know.
I have worked for nearly 36 years for the DoD and ending my career with the Air Force at Hill AFB. I have enjoyed being with the F-16 Division with Foreign Military Air Forces side of the house. I have been blessed years ago to have programs that took me on both sides of the ponds to help various air forces with contracting needs. I have recently decided to retire this Dec and be with my family more and enjoy things of interest to me.
I frequently attend museums, art exhibits, and musical events. I enjoy attending live plays and have had season tickets to Hale Center Theater for over a decade. I especially love the Shakespearean Festival / B&B's and have missed going for the last couple of years. I love to travel and consider after 2 cruises that it's the best way to go. I have a great love for our country and have visited as many National Parks as possible. These travels allow me to use my favorite toy, my Nikon camera. I am an avid photographer and am known to always have a camera on me to catalog visually my family's history. I love to stay busy but would rather be busy with a companion. I also have missed the last few years the dance/show held at Utah State for the Big Band sounds.
The gospel of Jesus Christ and His Atonement are a major player in my life and family. I currently teach gospel doctrine and substitute when the high priest wish me to teach. I have submitted my name into the Church museum when it reopens in Oct 2015 at the suggestion of a friend. Being single I can't go on a couple mission but I have a strong desire to go on missions when hopefully married, till my body says stay home and do things around the area. I enjoy temple work and attempt to go each week. I have a sister that I hired help me with names and it's wonderful to have a pile of family cards to take to the temple. My church ancestors goes back to the first group of saints baptized in England by Heber C Kimball. I can't let them down and have a testimony of the Church. Any questions, send my a message. I like messages, than smiles.
