I'm not going to try to simplify who I am or what I'm looking for in a guy in a matter of 300 characters. I will tell you that confidence goes a long way; keep in mind that there is a huge difference between confidence and arrogance. Also, I just got back to the States from living and working abroad for the past 3 years in South America so while transitioning back, I thought I'd give this a try.
I was living in Santiago, Chile and studied in Costa Rica but I have been all over Latin America and Asia. I'd have to say my favorite spot I've been to so far is southern Thailand.
I've been a writer for the past few years focusing on intercultural issues and now I'm working with immigrants who don't speak English yet at a small nonprofit where I'm a bilingual assessment and professional development specialist. I speak Spanish fluently and am learning Portuguese.
I prefer the unconventional to conventional 9 times out of 10 although I would definitely still consider myself down to earth. I couldn't care less about materialism, what car I'm driving, or if I have the latest iphone.
Money isn't a turn on. Ambition is. If you know what you want and are willing to do anything to go after it, that's attractive. Motivation and passion in your career is key.
I'm an animal-lover for sure. A dog is the only thing on Earth that loves you more than he loves himself. I recently became a "foster mom" for special needs dogs and cats at the local animal shelter.
Oh and, I'm the opposite of moderate, immaculately polished with the spirit of a hustler and the swagger of a college kid. Yeah, that.
