I've been a hairstylist for 8 years, and I also have a degree in Business Management/Entrepreneurship from BYU. I'm originally from Portland, OR, but I've lived in Utah for 9 years.
People who meet me never guess that I'm a hairstylist; I'm not the high maintenance type. But I do love my work and getting to meet so many people and build long-term relationships with my clients. I would love to own and manage my own salon within the next few years.
I love books, movies, plays and going on road trips. I love live music, but not huge concerts so much. I miss the Oregon coast and like to get out of Utah as much as I can. I laugh a lot.
I come from a really great family, and enjoy the relationships I have with my parents and each of my 7 siblings.
I am dedicated to the Gospel and hope to find a man who will never make me choose between him and my testimony.
Fun things about me:
I LOVE crossword puzzles. I use them to unwind, and also as a way to pass the time when I get to appointments/meetings too early (which happens very frequently).
I love anything that has to do with trivia pretty much, including Jeopardy. I might have a slight crush on Alex Trebek.
I like to create things. Any thing. I'm not an artist, but I like to have a lot of creative outlets; sewing, drawing, gluing, painting, etc. I find it therapeutic.
I can drive a manual transmission (my dad made sure of that), and I really like driving for fun. Getting up into the mountains and exploring is great.
I am TERRIBLE on a bicycle. I mean, I can ride one and all, but they give me anxiety; so any joy I may feel from the wind on my face is counteracted by me worrying about dying. I've just come to accept this about myself.
I grew up playing paintball. I'm not a great shot or anything, but I think it's fun and infinitely better than laser tag will ever be.
I'm a hairstylist with a BS in Business Management. I don't think I fit into either of those categories very well, but I'm somewhere in the middle.
Life is about learning and growing. I love meeting people who introduce me to new things and experiences. I like to think I have an open mind, and I'm willing try most things at least once.
Mostly I'm trying this internet dating thing out just to see who I meet. I don't know what I expect from it yet, but I feel like I'm getting a little older than the average Provo dating scene (I have a ton of great friends, but not as many dating options anymore) and I'd like to expand my circle a little more.
Feel free to ask me anything else you'd like to know.
