I am noticeably cheerful, but I am also known for my wit and sense of humour. I love talking, chatting, and have been known to write unintentionally ramble-y emails, but people generally seem to find me interesting so you probably won't mind that much. I love to learn, and tend to know enough about most subjects to get myself into some kind of trouble.
It's probably important that I make no illusions about the fact that I am a geek. I love Sci-Fi and Fantasy; especially Doctor Who and the books of Brandon Sanderson. I am also vaguely interested in table-top roleplaying, although it isn't something I get to do a lot of any more.
About my interests:
I like all things artsy and/or craftsy. I am a leather-worker, and I would really like to some day be a costumer for stage and screen. Right now I am working on building up a solid portfolio; I'm in the process of building a steam punk aerocyclist costume. I just finished making a pair of leather shoes from scratch. That was really fun.
I am also a big fan of nature. One of my hobbies is to go for walks with my field guides and learn the names of things like wild flowers and whatnot. Also, I grew up on the seacoast and love beaches - not the sandy tourist kind, but the rocky kind with tide pools and barnacles and such. And rocks. I really, really like rocks.
Also, I like to write and to create fantasy worlds. Making maps is kind of a weird hobby of mine.
What I am looking for:
What am I looking for in man? First and foremost, someone I can have a good conversation with. Sorry, I know that's extremely vague. Preferably someone who at least tolerates, but hopefully appreciates my sense of humour. I think that I probably also need someone who is a little (a lot) more grounded than I am naturally, because I can be a bit flighty and unreliable and I shouldn't be expected to be the responsible one in a relationship.
