Hi! I am a retired school teacher and a widow. I taught art, music, and 4th grade mostly, and really enjoyed my teaching career. I love the fine arts and have dabbled in many different media, including drawing, painting, calligraphy, ceramics, and most recently pyrography (wood burning). I also enjoy music, especially playing my harp, although I am a bit out of practice. I love going to the symphony, ballet, or theater. Opera? Not so much. I enjoy writing poetry, short stories, songs, and I host a writer's group meeting in my home once a month.
I have a strong testimony of the gospel and a current temple recommend. I have served in many ward and stake callings over the years, most recently as Primary chorister. I always wanted to serve a mission with my husband, but was unable to due to his health. Maybe that can still be in my (our?) future.
I'm an Arizona native, but not very heat tolerant. However I do enjoy the outdoors when the weather isn't scorching hot. I love to travel and explore new places. I like evening walks and hiking AZ trails, but prefer to camp in an RV or
at the resort. My timeshare affords me an opportunity to get away with family or friends and enjoy a change of scenery (and weather) now and then.
My daughter and I used to take flamenco dance lessons together many years ago, and I still might enjoy dancing (not necessarily flamenco) if I had a partner to dance with.
I lost my husband to cancer in January 2014 after a 13 year battle, and am just now tiptoeing back into the singles scene. I am not desperate, destitute or needy and am not interested in anyone who is. I honor and respect the priesthood and would love to have a good priesthood presence in my home. I want my man to be protective, tender, patient, gentlemanly, lighthearted, fun, easy going, and a good communicator capable of intelligent conversation. Did I say tall? Over 6 ft. would be nice :-)
I don't respond much to flirts or other auto generated notes. Please send a message and include a picture, and I will be happy to
correspond with you.
