Aloha! My name is Jon. I work with makeup. I lived in Asia for 4 years. I am single. I am a Mormon. (And I am worthy without skeletons in the closet and am relatively drama free!)
To characterize myself, I am faithful, internationally experienced & cultured, an adventurous and independent spirit, curious, diligent, optimistic, ready to settle down, and full of dreams to achieve. Personality wise, I am laid back, somewhat of an introvert with a dry sense of humor that can go in all sorts of directions. I am a "nice guy" due to my upbringing and understanding of the Gospel. Maybe the right girl will find this charming and conversation starting?
I am seeking a girl who has Christ and His Gospel at her core, exemplified in her daily activities and treatment of others who has family (and rearing one in traditional ways) at her core. I'm attracted to those who are optimists against all odds who enjoy the impromptu and enjoy talking about anything, including the impossible. A girl with world experience may understand me best, especially if she is desirous of future travel.
So, you made it this far. Fantastic! Should you feel prompted to say Hi, and I hope you do... Messages are always welcomed and appreciated, often responded to if they indicate my profile was actually read. Quicknotes/Smiles/Flirts often don't get responses as I'm looking for actual conversation. I think this is fair.
International business with Asia, specifically China, is my professional training. I manage the purchasing and logistics for a cosmetics company and work with China and Ghana daily. My Bachelors is in History from BYU and my MBA is from the University of Hawai’i.
My creative outlets include photography, writing, and Legos.
My roommates include the sweetest and most adorable Meyer's Parrots named Skyrocket and Shadow Snatcher, and Beta fish named Evander, Spangles, Bo Jangles, and Sprinkles.
I have lived around the US and Asia. I grew up in Cali and WA, graduated BYU, served my mission in Thailand, did my MBA in Hawaii, worked in China for a couple years. There was also a year in Oregon and I am currently enjoying my 3rd stint in sunny Florida. I've also traveled to Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sweden, Holland, Germany, Austria, Canada, and Mexico and have all sort of great stories. God’s creations and man’s cultures fascinate me and visiting cultural and historical sites around the world is the perfect weekend activity.
I am really into 60's bands and enjoy beautiful, thoughtful music from around the world as well as pop-rock oriented indie acts. Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, Jake Shimabukuro, and Alice and the Glass Lake are favorite modern acts. My favorite concerts have been: Jimmy Eat World, Jake Shimabukuro, and the Aquabats.
I take my activity in the Church seriously wherever I am in the world. The Lord our God Liveth, Loveth, and Reigneth.
A few of my rules of life:
1) Start everyday thanking God for the day and telling oneself it is going to be an awesome day.
2) Live as if life is going to turn out for the right; live your dreams and recognize the blessings of God.
3) Believe in the potential of others, take every opportunity to share a smile, speak with optimism and compliments.(/span) Don't mix money and friends. Service is the name of the game.
5) Believe in God. Serve Him. Go to church.
