It sure feels awkward to write a letter like this, but here goes.
I'm pretty shy in groups of people, but enjoy getting to know someone on a one-on-one basis. I've been known to chat with a stranger at the mall for a couple of hours at a time. I love reading, gardening, learning new things, mountain hikes...and with winter fast approaching, I'm going to give snowshoeing a try this year.
I love to travel, but prefer to travel with friend(s) instead of by myself. I lived overseas for 7 years in Saudi Arabia and served my mission in the Dominican Republic - and I'm really fascinated by cultural differences/sameness.
I live on the Front Range in Colorado and get some incredible views of the Rockies each day I drive in to work. I even love the snow and don't mind shoveling it...good way to interact with the neighbors!
I currently work in the IT world, but still consider myself a registered nurse. I do software testing on systems for hospitals, so it's another very satisfying way to use my nursing experience and help people., not to mention, that I get to go to work and try to break things every day - very therapeutic!
I would love to meet someone who will become my best friend and eternal companion. One of my goals is to serve another mission and it would be fantastic to be able to do that as part of a couple.
We have a wonderful world to explore and each part of it has something fantastic about it...so I'm definitely up for changing location or introducing a new friend to Colorado.
Enjoy life, it's amazing!
