Greeting from Rose_52081:

The following 5 paragraphs I think are the most important; after that it’s just random factoids about me.

My friends describe me as serious but fun and a bit “left of center”. I think that is a fairly accurate description of me, they just do not know what a die-hard romantic I am. I would also add in that I am a recovering perfectionist. I am learning that I do not need to be perfect right this very moment and that I just need make progress everyday on becoming that way. Please note I do not expect anyone to be perfect.

I am so grateful for all the experiences I've had and the way they have shaped my life. I'm continually learning more about myself and others each day. I find that others are intrigued by me and it's surprising. Of the five love languages, my primary is touch with words of affirmation a very close second.

I am a somewhat recent convert to the church; I came from a nondenominational Bible based background. I was baptized 3/1/08, received my patriarchal blessing 6/15/08 and went to the Temple for the first time on 4/10/09. I know that you can go to any Temple to receive your Endowment, but I knew that I would never have another “1st time attending the Temple”, so I went to Salt Lake for a "live" session. Yes, I was amazed, inspired and glad I made the journey to UT. Not only was it my first time to UT it was also my 1st long road trip by myself.

I enjoy spending time at the Temple, at church activities and out in nature. My ideal date would be to get an early morning Session in and then head for a museum, amusement park or some other fun activity, or maybe get an early morning hike in to see the sun rise, have breakfast and later that day attend a Temple session.

My ideal match would be someone who is strong on the “Mormon” side of the Standard Works, as I am with the Bible, attends church regularly, has an active recommend and attends the Temple on a regular basis. (I attend 4+ times a month.) I would love to have someone who will challenge me, in a supportive way, to become better spiritually and physically. I would like someone who has similar interests, reads, prays, has no issues with callings, church events, etc., can hold an intelligent conversation, has no problem with being honest (about everything because honesty is a fundamental part of being in any type of relationship), is fun to be around & funny. I look forward to the day when I can travel the world with my Eternal Companion and visit all of the Temples.

If I have not bored you to tears yet and If you are interested in reading more…

I work for a Subcontractor on the Commercial side of the construction business; needless to say it is a predominately male industry. That being said, I do like to spend a bit of time on my own reading or having a “girlie day”, it helps me decompress and remember that I am a Daughter of my Heavenly Parents.

I like to go out every once and a bit for a "girls night” with the RS ladies. That typically involves a bunch of us going for dinner and talking or going over to someone’s house and having a junk food and movie night.

I love the outdoors (mountain, beach or otherwise), camping, fishing, hiking, hunting (my version of hunting is getting that “killer” photo). I would like to learn how to shoot; I think that would be fun.

I love watching sports (live and on the tube), not that I understand all the rules, but I still think it’s exciting. That being said I have no problem attending a sports related gathering at someone’s home after church services. Hockey, (American) Football and Baseball (in that order) are my favorite sports. My favorite College football team is the Huskers. (I know, I know. I don’t want to hear it.)

I listen to all types of music and have no preference, but I am partial to country and cultural or tribal type music from around the world.

I have a deep love for our great country and for those who choose to defend it and in turn me. They and their families are always in my thoughts and prayers. I think this has a bit to do with the fact the both my parents were in the military.

If you have any concerns about my answers to the compass questions, please feel free to ask and I will clarify/qualify the answer I gave.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and I wish you all the best in your search for your Eternal Companion.
