Hi, My name is Rachel! Like a lot of you, I'm sure, I never know what to say about myself. So here goes...
I'm currently working part-time as a receptionist at an optometrist's office. I'm also going to school at a local community college (for now) to get an Associates degree for strength, Nutrition, and Personal Training. I'm planning to transfer to a university after that to continue on to a Bachelors degree, but I'm not exactly sure what major it would be, yet.
I guess I'm generally a happy, easygoing person, and I try to find the positive in most things. I do my best to be friendly to everyone I meet and make people feel like they're loved. Don't get me wrong, I definitely have my moments.. who doesn't, though? I'm definitely far from perfect. I've made stupid mistakes in the past, and I have struggled. I still do, at times. But I try my best to stay positive and work through the trials that are thrown my way.
I always try to be honest, so if you ask me something I'll usually tell you. I'm straight forward and blunt at times, and I love when other people are the same way. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people try to talk themselves up to impress you. The biggest way to impress me is to be real: be you. I don't want to get to know someone who you think I'll like. I want to get to know YOU.
I'm a bit shy around people I'm not familiar with, but once I get to know you, you can't get me to shut up. I have horrible coordination and can constantly be found on the ground because of a clumsy moment, but I've learned to laugh at myself instead of getting embarrassed. Life is always better when you're laughing, in my opinion. I'm a bit of a nerd, but I'm not ashamed of it! I love most kinds of music and movies, corny humor, smiling, and laughing. I love being outside, especially in the mountains; as long as the hot Arizona weather isn't too horrible. I love disconnecting from the world and soaking up the beauty around me.
A lot of people ask me why I'm on here. I had heard several people saying good things about it, so I figured, why not give it a try? I signed up looking to meet people I wouldn't have otherwise, and to make some new friends. I'm not necessarily actively looking for a relationship, but if the opportunity presents itself and I feel like it's a good choice, I definitely won't turn it down!
If you want to know any specifics about me, just ask! I'm an open book.
