The specifics:
•Born in Merced, CA on 24 Oct 1969 (but stayed only 1 year before moving away)
•Parents from Sacramento (Mom--convert), and L.A. (Dad--Lifelong member)(br( span="") /)•Oldest(/br() of four, two younger sisters and a younger brother (all married with a bunch of awesome nieces and nephews)
•Way, way too many years at BYU to not have a degree, but studied many things
•Mission: California, Santa Rosa. 2 hours from my house. And incredible
•In my last ward, I was in the elder's quorum presidency, the activities director, course 16-17 instructor (and home teacher, of course) all simultaneously. Busy but fun. In my much larger current ward, I'm a Webelos Leader and occasional substitute primary style="font-weight:bold;")teacher
•Career in I.T. by accidental proficiency with computers. I prefer books and people
•Generally healthy but rarely sleep (definitely being blessed--I should be comatose)
•One long-term relationship earned two might-as-well-be-sons (17 and 15), with whom I frequently hit Barnes & Noble, rock-climbing (I hold the rope), homework (I've forgotten more math than I ever knew in the first place), baptisms at the temple, (s( span="")pan style="font-weight:bold;")Play Lacrosse--actually LaCatch,(/s() and occasionally sky diving (!). The boys are awesome, and regularly check up on me as to how the "ldssingles.com-thing" is going
•Reading. Love it. Mentioned that before, but...
•Movies too, as well as TV shows on DVD (Top Five Favorite Films: Raiders of the Lost Ark; It's a Wonderful Life; Sense and Sensibility (Emma Thompson; enough said); Sneakers; Monsters, Inc. (or pick any Pixar film); The Secret of Roan Inish; Truly, Madly, Deeply; Il Postino (just for the ending); Some Like It Hot; Serenity; Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon; Babe; Cold Comfort Farm; Harry Potter's 3, 5, and 7 part1; Remains of the Day; Kenneth Branagh’s Henry V; and, well, Galaxy Quest. I’m also man enough to admit enjoying quality “chick flicks.” Return to Me is a good example. Or maybe it’s just Minnie Driver…not sure. Anyhow, those are my top five at the moment. My Top Twenty includes over a hundred films )(I was an English major, not a math major) )
•Generally like all food but fish. Sometimes overly crave Chinese, Italian, Thai, or barbecued cheeseburgers/hot dogs. Breakfast is my favorite meal, particularly french toast, eggs and bacon for lunch.
Incidentally, the interview was actually completed by a friend of mine and his wife answering the questions on my behalf (they're non-members, ld;")and the ones who got me a subscription to this site for my birthday a couple years back. I've kept it going since). They were generally accurate, so I left them alone. I added a couple of the church-related answers on my own after the fact.
