What I do:
I am a Teach for America Corps Member teaching precalculus, geometry, and 'college preparatory mathematics' at a magnet high school. Previously, I was a graduate student at Ohio University focusing in the philosophy of science and the philosophy of mathematics. My undergraduate degree was in philosophy at Southern Virginia University with minors in politics and mathematics. In my free time, I play the cello, train for a marathon, or participate in some type of sport.
I am goal-driven, passionate, and organized in my pursuits. I am analytic when it comes to problem confrontation and problem-solving. I have been called, on multiple occasions, an 'intellectual mormon'. I don't believe the meaning of this attribution has been consistent, but I generally take it to mean that I'm not afraid of carefully considering the beliefs of the church as well as the beliefs of others and evaluating their justification While I am very straight forward in my thinking, I try to be very respectful and kind in my presentation and you will almost always see me laughing and smiling. I love to participate in sports and generally pick up new things very easily.
Why I'm here:
Well, my friends made me make a profile. I haven't been in a relationship for over 4 years. I am not looking for a long-distance relationship. So, really, I'm not sure.
