Apr. 2013 -- I'm a temple-going guy who would love to meet an able-bodied, totally cool woman who likes me at the same time I like her, a woman with a strong testimony of the gospel, a woman who has chosen to make the gospel an important part of her life and has sacrificed in the sense that she has chosen righteousness above the things of the world.
Because I have a disability (Spina Bifida) and am a paraplegic, I'm only interested in dating a woman who isn't bothered by that. Sometimes I use a wheelchair, other times I use a cane.
Incidentally, I have no intention of dating anyone who wouldn't be my best friend and equal. However, I'm not looking for merely friendship. My desire, the deepest wish of my heart, is to one day be married in the temple. Beyond that, though, I'm just looking to be in a relationship with someone.
My personal interests?
I absolutely love listening to music; going to concerts; and visiting museums, zoos and aquariums. I've been known to watch more than a few movies from time to time, such that I have no qualms about going to the movies by myself.
I also enjoy reading everything and anything, from Dante to Shakepeare, Garcia Marquez to Steinbeck. I even have a secret love of all things Harry Potter.
I consider myself to be somewhat of a politics junky. As someone who is politically progressive, I find certain elements of the more conservative base of the Republican party almost wholly incompatible with the gospel. I reject the false notion that being LDS requires you to have a specific political affiliation. That being said, I'm more closely aligned to Harry Reid and Barack Obama than I am to Orrin Hatch and any current GOP leader.
I also consider myself to be a life-longer learner. I always interested in learning new things -- I really want to learn a second language, and estoy aprendiendo español. My biggest regret is that I will never have the time to know all there is to know, nor will I have time to read all that I'd like to read.
Having a disability, Spina Bifida, and being a partial paraplegic, definitely separates the wheat from the tares when it comes to dating, so to speak; but if you've actually taken the time to read everything I've written thus far, and can handle everything I've written without totally freaking out, you're probably totally cool, so don't hesitate to drop me a line.
