I am an outgoing, affectionate, intelligent woman who enjoys family, learning, travel, music, theater, reading, walking and bike riding. I like to step outside of my comfort zone to develop new interests, expand skills or explore opportunities. I just signed up for SCUBA classes.
I currently live in Michigan, but my family is mostly in Utah. I visit there often.
As a young adult, I traveled extensively in Latin America and Europe. I would love to go back to some of the places where I worked and visited and to new places. I speak Spanish, fluently. I can get by in Portuguese, or is it Portanol?
I'm a lifelong, active, church member who has held numerous callings. While I have friends with many different beliefs and backgrounds, I can't imagine living my life outside of the church. LDS life brings clarity and stability to a crazy world with shrinking morals. I love and understand those who believe differently than I do. I prefer the peace that faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ and church membership bring to me.
I served a welfare services mission in Peru. I loved the people and didn't faint at the sight of cockroaches. I hope to serve another mission, when I retire. Hopefully, I can use my medical and language skills. My favorite church callings are teaching the 8 year-old primary class and Gospel Doctrine. I currently teach Gospel Essentials.
In my free time, I enjoy curling up with a good book, working out, walking in the park, cooking, eating, and bike riding. I like to volunteer my nursing and nutrition services.
As a nurse, I often find myself caring for an elderly patient whose spouse refuses to leave the bedside and dotes on the ailing partner. Many of them, like my parents, have a 50-plus-year marriage. I am hoping to develop the same kind of loving relationship. I want it to be the kind that can be eternal.
I have come to the time in my life when I want to surround myself with people who are positive, make me laugh, help me forget the bad, and help me focus on the good. I am kind, loyal, and supportive of those who treat me well. I have room in my heart to pray for those who do or have not. Life is too short to be anything but happy. "Falling down is part of LIFE. Getting back up is LIVING." I am living and looking for someone to share the journey.
