It sure is cold up here in Alaska. I could sure use that special eternal companion to warm things up here and in my life in general. I am a bit shy and reserved but I will spring into action when I can help another person or when I find an opportunity to share the gospel. I enjoy watching and playing Basketball. I also enjoy watching Football. I was born into the covenant but wandered off from the "straight and narrow path" in my late teens and only went to church 1 to 5 times a year in average for the next 15 years. Now I am back and active. I hold the Melchizedek Priesthood, (I received it as a gift on my 37Th birthday) and received my endowment the summer after wards (2012) I have one brother and one sister who are not active members currently. I also have two nephews and one niece.
The Holy Ghost is very important to me. It has been ever since Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley came to me in a dream and told me to "Keep Your Spirit Strong". This divine intervention happened in the spring of 2011 and it helped me start changing into the person my Heavenly Father wants me to be.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is also very important to me. I remembered the first years that I came back full time which was 2009, I did not really long to stay then. Now I do just to see the friendly faces I love to see each week and renewing my Baptismal Covenant.
It also helps when you have specific callings in the church like Elders Quorum Instructor and The Ward Singles Representative for the males. For a while with the new ward I was the only Melchizedek Priesthood holder who was active and 30+ years old. Now I am excited to have another brother in my ward join me in that distinction.
