I would like to meet someone who I would be willing to look beyond their imperfections and less than ideal situations and enjoy the rest of my life with.
I am divorced since 2001, after a nearly 20 year marriage, and married only once. My daughters were born in 1983, 1985, and 1988.
I like Latin dancing. I work out at the gym regularly. I am not on any medications. I watch what I eat. (That means I don't just watch it go down.) I weigh 155 lbs max. I am a really nice guy - perhaps too accomodative; and possibly even intelligent. And I have learned that I get resentful if my devotion and attention is not reciprocated. So I need someone who is willing to put their greatest effort in making this work. That means that I need attention also. And in case you are wondering, being healthy means that I have wonderful cardio-vascular capability; I expect the frequent opportunity to put it to good use.
I believe in Chivalry, but it is not for the man to do all the work in the relationship; sorry about that. It gets pretty one-sided that way. And I'm really serious about the greatest work we can do is within the walls of our own home. Although children deserve their share in their time, it's not about kids - it's about each other.
I did retire in October 2013; I continue to be active and gainfully employed in retirement. I still have to finance my habits somehow.
As far as professionally, I will say that most of my career has been in computer-aided manufacturing. However, I was initially hired by the Department of Defense because of my Foundry background (which later did become expertise). I did start a corporation in Texas in computer-aided manufacturing software and services. I have developed and copyrighted a variety of software for various commercial manufacturing related applications. That doesn't make me rich and famous, but you can find me in Marqui's Who's Who in the South and Southwest 1995. So I guess it at least makes me famous.
Yes, I have been under-employed for most of my career, but at least I got a 30 yr retirement out of the deal. I plan on pursuing my programming career, as well as continue to develop an on-line course on Manufacturing Technology, which is my current project with a local Vo-Tech.
I have daughters in Utah and California. Did I ever have time for them? Yeah. They were my world (along with everything else). And they love their dad. There are no better people than my kids. And there is no greater testament to my life than them. There are other testaments, but no greater, which may actually say more about them than it does about me.
I am active and healthy. I have a lot of fun years left in my life and I would like to have someone to share them with. In spite of my quirks and shortcomings I believe I the right woman would be very appreciative.
The Caveat: I'm not just eternally trolling either (that's not really what guys do). But you know what? Being just a little assertive could be just what a guy needs for a woman to differentiate herself. 'No guts - No glory', as they say.
haha... I particularly like the profiles that say "I like bathing my dog" and "arranging my sock drawer". Keep that up.
Thanks for reading ;)
