I am a designer, writer and teacher, and in previous careers was a professional pianist and a travel photographer. I own more power tools than my handyman, but on the other hand I also own several pairs of well-used tango shoes. I can milk a goat. I once climbed to the roof of a madrasseh in Samarkand. In the past year I've added a pair of skis and a set of golf clubs to my toy box, and learned to sail a Sunfish. I love tulips, even when they are drying up, because they look like dancers with swirling veils.
I think out-of-the-box, and often find myself acting as a bridge between different cultures and points of view. Curious, adventurous and willing to try new things, I expect to excel at pretty much everything I do.
I believe that living the gospel is about more than going to meetings: it is how you treat others every moment of every day. I believe that knowing someone is about more than judging them against a checklist of criteria: it is walking with them and understanding why they do what they do. (So if you want to know about my mission, temple status or any other "checklist" item, you'll have to ask.)
I want to share life with someone who looks at the big picture and passionately paints his part of it. (Alliteration not intentional -- extra credit if you know what alliteration is.)
