Greeting from MacAaroni:

Hi I'm Aaron. How can I describe myself? Well, in a word: Goofy :)

To be more specific: I'm fun-loving, adventurous, and I love the "out-doors". I have a quirky sense of humor, and I'm not afraid to laugh at myself. I'm a loyal friend; when the chips are down, I'm the kind of guy that will always be there to help, even if it is at 3:00 a.m. and 100 miles from home. I'm always willing to try new things, at least once; (Well, to a point. Skydiving without a parachute is definitely out!) hence, I'm trying an online dating site. :)

I am a naturally shy person, yet I've worked hard to overcome this. Unfortunately it comes out in certain circumstances, like when I'm talking to a pretty girl I barely know and I get all tongue-tied. :3 In spite of this, I prefer to get to know people in person, but the fact that I live about 100 miles south of nowhere makes it hard to meet anyone. (I'm not kidding; I have pictures! :P) However, I often travel to visit my friends and family in Utah and Idaho, and try to fit in actual dates then. I've definitely been blessed with a job that allows me to do that.

I prefer to live in small towns; maybe not quite as isolated as I am now, but rural non-the-less. Of course I like the fun, excitement and multiplicity of things to do in a large city (that's a fun word: Multiplicity, mulTIplicity, multipiciTY, multi....), but I still wouldn't want to live there. Call me weird, but it would be a dream come true if I could buy nice chunk of land and grow some crops on it!

Anyway, that's all I can think of! So, you can stop reading now. I'm not kidding! Stop reading!

You really don't listen very well do you? ;) OK, fine. Keep reading; I answered a few questions to inform and entertain you, the stubborn reader. :P

* What would you do if you were standing in a large crowd and suddenly realized you were standing on an ant hill and the little critters were swarming up your legs?

Scream like a little girl, and run around in circles while waving my arms frantically! ;) No, I'd probably end up dropping my drawers and stomping my legs to make them fall off. And my bright white legs would most certainly result in the temporary blindness of any nearby onlookers. :P

* Would you kiss on a first date?

Probably not, because I'm too shy, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't want to! ;)

* Give an example of something that irritates you that others might not know about.

It irritates me when people are dishonest and manipulative, especially in relationships. Why play games? Just get everything out in the open. For instance: Why do I want to date you? Well, the purpose of dating is to find an eternal companion, and until I learn something about you that disqualifies you for the job, I'm considering you as a possibility. Strangely enough, this attitude could be why I'm still single. :

* Do you floss?

What's floss? Just kidding! I do, but not as often as I should. :I

* Describe your all-time favorite day.

My favorite days are when I'm with people I care about doing something adventurous, like a road trip, or hiking to the top of a mountain, or taking popcorn and chairs to the electronics department of a store and watching the movie they're playing on the TVs!

* What makes you laugh?

Funny things! :D

* What must you know about a stranger before you would write to them on-line? Before you would meet them?

Actually, even though I'm shy, I have no reservations about writing to or meeting strangers. I just get nervous sometimes and can't think of anything to say.

* What must you know about someone before you would kiss them?

Whether or not they would file assault charges? :P

* You're laughing at a friend's joke and you snort. Are you embarrassed?

Yeah a little embarrassed, but it would probably just make me laugh more!

* How close do you dance?

Well, it depends on what kind of dance we're doing! I like to swing which usually is far apart except for some lifts. I also like some ballroom dances, which if using the correct stance is quite close so that it's easier to lead. I should also mention, that even though I was on a dance team years ago, and learned at least the basics, I do not consider myself proficient by any means.

* Kissing: expression, recreation, or compulsion?

Expression, and maybe a little recreation. :)

* How confident are you?

I'm not really sure... ;) Well, it depends on what I'm doing. I'm very confident in many things, such as what I can or can't do physically. When it comes to relationships, not so much. Unless it's actually said, I'm unsure whether or not the other person is interested in me.

* ?Hablas Espanol?

Si, un poquito.

* What would you do about a mouse in your house?

KILL IT! Then disinfect everywhere I think it's been. I'm a little OCD on this subject!

* Do you make a good friend? Why or why not?

Yes, as I said, I'm the guy that will drive hundreds of miles to help a friend in need. All they need do is ask.

* What makes you angry?

There isn't much that makes me actually angry. The only thing that comes to mind is when I see someone hurting someone else, especially if the person being hurt is someone I care about.

* Would you rather dress up and go somewhere elegant or dress down and do something active?

Active for sure!

Parlez-vous francais?

Does profanity offend you?

Not really. I don't think other people's choice of language affects me, thus I'm not offended. At work, every other word I hear seems to be the "F" word. That being said, for the most part, I don't use it, and I don't think I would date a girl that regularly used profanity. It's a good indication she's not really my "type".

* How important is it to be in fashion?

For the most part fashion doesn't concern me. I like to look nice without spending a fortune. I am very practical on the subject, and I've never really been too concerned about what's popular or not.

* Nihongo ga wakarimasu ka?

What? :)

* What's your favorite color and why?

Green with a little bit of blue in it. BECAUSE IT'S AMAZING!

* Are you a courteous driver?

Yes. I often drive quickly, but try to pay attention to those around me and help them out if I'm in the position to do so. If everyone showed a little courtesy in their driving, there would be far less accidents on the road.

* How much over the speed limit is it okay to drive?

I completely disagree with speed limits in rural areas altogether. The most over the speed limit I've ever done was about 140ish in a 50. :} That being said, when I'm not testing out my grandpa's recently purchased ex-police car, I usually only go about 4 or 5 over. :)

* Do you have enough friends?

What matters is not quantity, it's quality!

* How closely do you keep in touch with friends from high school and before?

I met my best friends in the world when I was in high school. We talk regularly, and I visit them often. We even try to have some kind of camping trip or other adventure once a year or so. Friendship is very important to me.
