I try to find humor in everything, most of all in myself. If you can't laugh at yourself, what's the point? I may be a little sarcastic at times, but not negative. A quick wit is something I appreciate a great deal. Make me laugh and you'll be off to a great start with me.
Everyone has their own story, their own difficulties, their own faults, (myself included), so who am I to judge or be critical? I try to be as easy-going as I can, it isn't worth getting upset about things over which you have no control. I try to treat everyone fairly and equally. Through some difficult times, I still have a strong testimony of the gospel, that hasn't changed.
I like sports - watching, participating, whatever. I like the outdoors, being active, but I like down time, too. You get to know someone well when you see what they do with time on their hands. I recently ran my first triathlon and really enjoyed it. And by "enjoyed it" I mean I didn't die. Seriously though, I'll do more. I don't particularly enjoy running, and I have a lot of room for improvement, but I really like swimming and cycling, so the experience was one that I could really get into. I enjoy camping, hiking, and have a trip to Yellowstone and Teton National Parks planned with my kids later this summer. I enjoy going out until late at night when it's clear and stargazing.
I enjoy reading. The last book I read - Robopocalypse. It's not at all what it sounds like. It's about robots who rise up and cause the end of the world. I also like movies, especially going to the theater. And I have four great kids who deserve to be the center of my world.
I find what I do very rewarding, I am able to help people who aren't in a position to be able to help themselves. I'm fortunate that I can make a living doing so at the same time. It does keep me extremely busy, but I try to make sure to play as hard as I work.
