I am looking for someone to share the fun things of life with and the spiritual things as well. I'm a good listener and I want someone to have great conversation with. It doesn't matter if that's on an exotic beach or at home with fast food take out. (I wouldn't turn down the exotic beach though). I love to write and I love good music. I would like to travel more and experience new things, but I also know how to live very modestly and am happy to just be home with family. My friends tell me I'm compassionate, sweet, creative and witty. I'm fun and like to laugh. I'm easy going, calm and patient. I'm interested in discovering new things to add to my "like" list. I enjoy good conversation and consider myself a deep thinker. I'm not in a position to relocate out of the valley right now as I have a teenage daughter and she needs to have access to both parents. This online stuff can help weed out those that would most definitely not be compatible. (oops, that sounds a little harsh, but we're all doing it, right?). So a little more on a serious note. We all have "stuff" (aka issues/imperfections) that we deal with right? I have spent the last 3 years looking at my stuff with the help of counseling. I have to say, I really like the person I'm discovering inside of me now. I'm looking for a person who can look in the mirror and deal with his own "stuff", all the good, bad and the ugly. I want to be able to look across at my partner and have open and honest conversation about what we each bring to the partnership and what we each need to work on. I don't intend to change someone. But I am looking for someone who can look in the mirror and see all that good, bad and ugly. Someone who can appreciate the good they see in themselves and change the bad and ugly for the better, as I have learned to do and am continuing to do.
I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior. The gospel is a huge part of my life. I love to do temple work and I attend sessions regularly. I would enjoy serving a mission with my companion.
I love road trips with good company and spending time with family. I enjoy the outdoors, the mountains, just about anything in nature. I have always loved to dance, but have not had much opportunity to do that, (I tend to lead). So more dancing would be fun, but not a requirement. I enjoy spending time with my children and grandkids. (I have a lot of grandkids!) I was raised on a farm in SE Idaho, but have lived in the city for almost 40 years now. Small town values are still very much who I am. I do enjoy what the city offers and love both life styles. One last thing, I like to collect thoughts and quotes so I have them at my fingertips if I need a quick "pick me up". One of my favorites (and I don't even know who to give credit to), "You should always smile. You never know who is falling in love with it."
