I can be serious & meticulous, but love to laugh and love people who make me laugh. I like to say that laughter is like air and water to me; I NEED it!! I am usually flexible and easy going but I will stand up for myself (or others) if the need arises. I am usually willing to try new things.
I love the Temple and while regular Temple attendance has always been very important to me, I do not have a current reccomend at this time. I am a convert and was baptized Sept 2000, I received my Patriarchal Blessing about a month later and went to the Temple Sept 2001. The thing I find myself telling non-member friends or family when they bring up the church is, "I absolutely believe in my religion and I love my church." For me, that says it all in a nutshell. I received a very strong confirmation and testimony during my conversion and I stand firm on that knowledge.
In my relationships with others; whether family, friends, acquaintances or otherwise, I always look for their heart and try to treat them with compassion, point out their strengths and talents, and compliment them accordingly. I like to be supportive, encouraging and loving and believe that we should do what we can to make others feel better or happier than they did before we came into their day.
Family is very important to me, of course I would consider and expect a future spouse to stand beside me, equally yoked. I don't want just a marriage, but a love affair complete with adoration and passion for one another. I love being a mom and adore my children. They are a top priority, yet I know that I am here to raise them and prepare them to go out on their own. After so doing, I know who is left; us. I want an eternal marriage and consider my partner and that relationship to be not only of foremost importance, but sacred.
Physically, I would prefer to date someone in the age range of their 40's to 50's, who is taller than I am, and no more than 5-10lbs overweight. I am not being superficial; I just know my physical abilities and limitations, as well as my comfort levels and desires.
As for sports, I enjoy watching basketball, hockey, football, ice skating, gymnastics... and I am usually open to trying new things. I also enjoy going to a ballet once in a while or seeing a good orchestra or musical event. I enjoy cuddling, watching a movie at home or the theater, going for walks, a BBQ with friends, family or just two, road trips, weekend getaways, and shooting guns. Oh yes, and I love to eat! Oops, is that a sport or form of entertainment? I suppose it can be!
What am I looking for on this site? Well, I'm not in a hurry to rush into anything, but would rather get to know someone and build a friendship with mutual trust and respect first. I believe that it's very important for a couple to be friends and, from what I've seen around me, it seems that friendship is missing in too many marriages... I also feel that a couple should have fun with another. Honesty, integrity and affection are a must.
Ultimately, I am looking for a good, righteous priesthood holder who loves the Savior, our Heavenly Father and the Gospel. A man who walks closely with the Holy Ghost and listens to and follows the promptings he receives, and an eternal mate to be sealed to for time and eternity.
