In Act II Scene VII of As You Like It, the immortal William Shakespeare wrote, "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players." So let me tell you just a few of the parts I'm currently playing.
~Teacher-I have been teaching first grade for four years now. I don't tie shoes after Halloween and don't zip coats after Christmas. I also teach music for our grade. My First Graders can sing about AND spell Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
~Theater Guru- I've been on stage and behind the scenes and am currently directing and producing the after school theater program at the school where I teach.
~Movie Enthusiast- I love them all and can quote lines to fit any occasion.
~Outdoor Adventurer- My Big Three are Snowmobiling, Water Skiing, and Camping. Not to brag, but I can toast perfect campfire eclairs. Well, maybe a bit of bragging :)
~Avid Reader-This quote I found sums it up pretty well. "That moment when you finish a book, look around, and realize that everyone is just carrying on with their lives as though you didn't just experience emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback."
~World Traveler- 22 states, 8 countries and counting! My goal is all 50 states and at least 5 more countries. Next up in the summer of 2014, Paris with Sounds Choir to perform at the 70th Anniversary of D-Day: The Battle of Normandy and the Liberation of France!
~Church Member-I've been a member all my life, but it's taken me loss, grief, and trials I'd care never to repeat to learn that our Heavenly Father sends us people when we need them and that He will not leave us. He loves us. He sends us trials when we need them, not when we want them.
~My core belief echoes a line from one of my favorite shows that also parallels a favorite scripture- "Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise." Can you name the show-now a movie?
