The church is the core of my life. I have many friends in my little branch and I attend as many SA events in my Stake and Region as possible. I'm content with my life. Great family, great career, great home. Missing a partner and would like to find a worthy priesthood holder to spend eternity with. I want to do a future senior mission.
I have had many callings in the church and have enjoyed them all. I am currently teaching the Youth Sunday School class and am on our Family History Committee. I enjoy both and am always learning as I go. I love attending the Temple and am currently doing work for my own family, this makes it such a special event. I love going to the temple. I just got back from Utah this summer and had a great time visiting various temples, unfortunately the Salt Lake Temple was closed for cleaning the week I was there. i enjoy Relief Society as well, it is wonderful to build relationships with all the wonderful women in our branch. We do a lot of service work and that is always enjoyable. We collect food for our food bank (biggest food drive in the area), we make personal kits for the ladies who have to stay at the local women's shelter and we collect items for the Kawartha Mission. This is a huge project - we turn milk bags into mattresses which get shipped all over the world. I am not good at weaving the matts, not good at turning them into "Wool" but i am very very good at acquiring the milk bags that we use. I have collected milk bags from all over the Trillium Lakelands School Board region - we actually have enough milk bags to have filled one of our primary classrooms!
I am slim, curvy, intelligent, love to laugh, enjoy going out for a great meal, a good movie, a fun evening with friends. I am a highschool teacher and I love my job. I have a great time with teenagers and i like the energy they have. I love the Arts and am quite creative. I love to make pottery and jewellry and I love music. I sing in our branch choir and I sing with one of our community choirs. Music is such a powerful influence in our lives.
My family is very important to me. I have a sister who is married to a great guy. She is one of my best friends and I miss having her near me. She lives out on the East coast. I try to get out there every summer . She has twin girls who go to university here in Ontario and I love that they are close to me. I have an amazing father. He is simply wonderful. He loved my mother so much. They were married 52 years before we lost her and their relationship was the standard I hold high. He is now in a new relationship and I adore his girlfriend. She is a wonderful woman.
My friends are very important to me. Every tuesday night we hold a group FHE. It is three families - 2 single moms and their kids and my best friend who is married to a non-member. We have dinner together and enjoy an evening that can be a lot of fun, challenging, creative, yummy. It is a blast to see what the kids will do when it is their turn to plan. One of the moms has special needs kids and one of them is expecting twins - that will be a great addition to our group.
I never had the chance to have kids. I wish I had been given that opportunity but it just didn't happen. I love kids and am very lucky to be a "real aunt" and a "chosen aunt". i am now a 'chosen nana" to a beautiful little 8 month old baby. I adore this little baby, she has stolen a piece of my heart.
Any man I get involved with must like dogs. My dog is very important in my life. She is my buddy, my constant companion, my tummy-rub-please snuggler.
I am looking for a real, funny, intelligent, hard working, worthy, temple attending, faithful man who lives for and loves the gospel. He needs to love travelling. I intend on spending my retirement (10 years from now) travelling and serving humanitarian missions. I love travelling. I have lived overseas as an international teacher. I love being spontaneous and just getting in the car and going somewhere. I love planning school trips and travelling with students. Seeing the world through their eyes is great because it is all new. Every other year we take an Arts trip to New York
City. I love it there! And this coming March break we are headed to England with 27 kids. Should be fun!
The most important thing that I am looking for is someone who honours his priesthood. I want him to be someone who loves the gospel. Someone who values temple attendance, someone who has a personal relationship with Heavenly Father. I don't care if he is widowed, divorced or single. I do care that he is a good person.
I hope that he enjoys being active. I love to go to the dog park, take my dog for walks, I love to go camping - I just spent some time camping at the Thomas S. Monson camp with my friends. We had such a great time. However, I am beginning to think that it's time to graduate from tent to trailer! lol! I love winter time. I love walking my dog in a snow storm. The only people outside are dog walkers! I don't watch a tonne of TV but I do like Netflix movies.
Hmmm....what else can I say?
I am highy sceptical - I have had some people inbox me and I just know that they are fakes trolling these singles sites - I can just picture them sitting in some third world country trying to find lonely people to get to know. That is currently happening with a single sister in my branch - she is convinced that this "gorgeous soldier who is wounded" is real, we all know he's not. Soooo.....if you can't string a sentence together in English, if you are not a member of the church, if you have no idea of LDS lingo, I am not interested in you because I am pretty sure you aren't real.
If you are real; if you are LDS, I would love to hear from you.
