So after much thought and a lot of prayer about putting myself out there again, I ended up here. I grew up as a Baptist, Lutheran and a Catholic. I went to all three services with family. My Mom was a Baptist, Dad a Lutheran and my Grandfather was Catholic. I faithfully went with them but always felt there was something missing until I found the church. I wasn’t approach by any missionaries, the Holy Spirit lead me home. I am very active in Church, honor my commitments, callings, and attend the temple regularly. I have an unwavering testimony of our Savior and the Gospel. Like many of us, I am on a continual process of improving myself and am on a path to endure to the end. I carry myself with a high level of integrity and I treat my friends and family with the same respect they deserve. I’m looking for someone with similar values in life. This is a must.
So what am I looking for? I’m looking for a best friend/spouse who is 100% committed to the gospel and who enjoys church service and attending the temple. He needs to have a sense of adventure and humor and enjoys the outdoor lifestyle. Be a person who enjoys taking rides to the where ever; mountains, lake or ocean. A companion who is willing to teach me new things and vice-a-verse. He needs to respects and understand the value of hard work. Most important he needs to be someone who values family relationships.
I would describe myself as an adventurist, I like being outdoors either skiing, hiking, fishing, hunting or camping. I’m not afraid to get dirty. I like riding horses, four-wheelers, bikes and my snow machine. I enjoy getting in the my truck and driving on an adventure with my family. We have a family tradition of spinning a bottle and whatever direction it points in, that the direction we go. I’m a tinker and truly enjoy trying to fix things. My friends would tell you I’m not afraid of hard work, they would also say I enjoy the lighter side of life and tend to be somewhat of a prankster. Most importantly I’m not afraid to apologize. I firmly believe my relationship with my partner is way more important to me than my pride. I believe communication is the only policy.
My relationship with my family is important to me. I have one amazing daughter who will be twenty-six this year. She has blessed me with two grandchildren and another one on the way. My grandchildren are my hiking buddies. At the age of 5 and 4 they do a pretty good job keeping up. Our average hikes are about 5 miles, and we find the coolest bugs and plants to look at and collect. The three of us are always on the lookout for an occasionally mud puddle or creek to jump into.
As far as work goes, I’m extremely blessed to have a job I thoroughly enjoy. I work as a Consultant Project Engineer in Alaska which has given me the opportunity to travel to remote location and meet amazing native people.
If I have sparked any interest or curiosity, I would love to hear from you, and your thoughts on life, adventure, and living.
