I am looking for a wonderful woman to become my eternal companion. My wife of 43 years passed away 2 years ago. We had a very good marriage. I do not like being single. I want to find happiness again in marriage with someone similiar to the happiness I have been used to all of my life. Marriage is not always easy, but we both worked so hard to try and make each other happy. And to tell the honest truth about it the hard work paid off we did made each other very happy. I have been taught by the greatest teacher in the world the humility and patience and romance and other things it takes to make a woman happy.
I am going to list some of the things I think, emphasis on think I am looking for in a new wife.
I love to play sports even still at 62 years old. In taking care of Miriam the past number of years the stress and inactivity helped me to put on some weight. So, now with stress levels lower I am on a quest to make myself extremely fit.
It would be fun/good to have a wife who is fit or at least willing to seriously work on fitness with me and who also enjoys some of the same sports I enjoy. I play Golf, Racquetball, and Tennis. We go boating, water skiing, swimming in the summer, etc. I work out with weights some and do some aerobic training.
I like to watch football and basketball on TV, but I am not hung up on it like I was when I was younger.
I teach the Color Code personality system. There are four personalities in this system. I have found many times the predictions of marriage success from this personality system are good. The four colors are Red, Blue, White, and Yellow. The web site is ColorCode.com. You can log on to that site, take the profile and find your core personality.
I am a Red. The best match-up for a Red is a White, or combination White/Blue or Blue/Yellow. Reds can also matchup well with combination Red/Blue's. Reds do not match up well with other Reds or pure Yellows.
I love very smart women. I love good intellectual discussions and Gospel discussions.
I am looking for a woman who is generally positive and upbeat most of the time and will fit in well with my family.
I have five grown children and 12 grandchildren all in the Charlotte, NC area. We have a great relationship and do things together all of the time. Because of my family I have no desire to live outside of the Charlotte area. I own my fairly large home and am looking for someone to move in and share it with me. Right now the missionary Assistants to the President are living in the basement.
I love children. I love to coach them in sports, to teach seminary, to teach Sunday School. I love to help my grandchildren with their homework. I love to take them to the mall and the movies and absolutely spoil them. I would not mind marrying someone who had kids of any ages still at home.
I am 62 years old. I am financially stable with no consumer debt. I still pay on a mortgage is all. I still work full time, and I wouldn't mind continuing to work to late into life. I like my job. I am an electrical engineer. I work from a home office and about half the time I travel and teach classes. With that being said, I would also love to be in a position to go on a mission, or a series of missions with the right woman.
I am still very active in sports, tennis, golf, racquetball. I attend my grandchildrens sporting events, recitals, graduations, birthday parties, etc. I love to read and study many topics. I love to study and discuss religion, science, engineering, astronomy, sports, physics, history, detective novels, spy novels, etc. I probably watch to many movies, I love action movies but have watched many chick flicks because that is what my wife wanted to watch and I wanted to be with her and make her happy.
I love to serve in the church, and have served in Church leadership all of my adult life most recently eight years as Bishop of my Ward and 10 years on the High Council. I taught seminary for 17 years.
My goal each day in life is to try to make someone happier because they were near me, to help to move someone closer to our heavenly father, to comfort and assist those in need, and to have fun if possible while I am doing it. I can cry easily when someone around me is hurting. I always try to get involved and help. I never turn someone away who comes to me for help.
