Hi. I don't like to beat around the bush and I like to keep it real. I want to be loved and you want to be respected. I recently read a great book that opened my eyes to some of the ways we can unconditionally do these things.
About me...I have 2 kids. A daughter who is currently serving a mission in New York City, and a son who is 19 and working. I am an active member in the church and I have a strong testimony of the gospel. I am a convert as well. I grew up in New Jersey, went to BYU Provo, then moved to Texas. I have fun sharing my acquired accents from each place. I like to laugh and make people laugh. Some things I enjoy are- spending time with my kids, playing games, baking, watching football, watching movies and then quoting them for the rest of my life, traveling, playing with my 2 dogs, listening to live music, and I dig gardening.
By nature I am 'true blue' to the one I love and expect the same fierce loyalty from him. I am not high maintenance and I am not your stereo-typical Mormon woman who has an entitlement mentality. I appreciate, serve, and adore the one I love. I applaud the man who has communication skills and can express his feelings. I don't like sappy men, but you do need to be able to work through issues respectfully. I want the 3 P's- protector, provider, and presider. That's what men are wired to do. Right?
I have some skills too. I share them humbly with you, as I feel that any talent I have is a gift from God. I interpret for the Deaf using Sign Language. I love to bake wheat bread and enjoy cooking. I am a former preschool teacher. I like to organize things. I know how to stay on a budget and live within my means. I don't like having debt, so I don't spend money I don't have. I like my home to look beautiful and I have some decorating skills. I like making things with my hands that are pleasing to the eye. I have some what of an art thread that weaves it's way through my life since I was a child. There is one skill I've acquired that is a little out of the ordinary... I can butcher a deer. I won't field dress it, but bring it to me naked and quartered and I can turn it into venison jerky, backstrap steaks, chili or stew. I also make a mean dutch oven peach cobbler! Just sayin'.
So there is a sampling of who I am. I would love to learn more about you. If you have any of the following issues, I don't think we are meant to be together: You have a lot of debt, you have trouble controlling your temper, you are struggling with pornography, you've cheated on your ex, or if you are not in possession of a current temple recommend. I respect myself enough to not accept these behaviors from a potential husband. I am in no way perfect, but the above mentioned are deal breakers.
