A Montana man, born and raised. I love dreaming and living under the big sky, and am grateful for the opportunity to protect the communities I cherish. I enjoy the craft of writing a great deal, and I am working in my free time with the goal of becoming an author full-time. While I work towards that goal, I am happy to bear a badge with honor.
I love the outdoors, and a good book indoors just as much. I've had opportunity to travel to Spain and Scotland, and it is one of my favorite things to see the stages where world and family history have played out. I'm getting back into fitness after a long lull, and, as of June 2015 to now, I've shed 70 lbs. It feels good, and I am enjoying the rediscovery of my athletic abilities. Lean and mean is the endgame, and it is very much in sight. Singing is another love of mine, and I'm able to carry a tune, so long as the bucket is big enough. I admire dance, and hope to take some lessons in the future.
My folks will tell you that I was a stubborn handful (actually, an armful...okay, okay! Two armfuls!), but I did get two of their teachings right: "Do hard things," and "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right." I strive to live by those words. My family are my favorite people, and "Uncle" is my most prized title. I am zealous in the effort of orchestrating and/or participating in family gatherings.
I was born into the gospel, and am thankful for that blessing every day. There is so much to do at home to be engaged in the building of the kingdom. As Christ said, "freely have ye received. Freely give."
My biggest goal, and the motivation behind all my efforts, is to be a husband and father that provides his family with love, protection, and the means to cultivate a great future. I will support my wife in all her goals, professional, domestic, and personal, because I know she will do the same for me. We are meant to be equal partners, and that means full support of each other's approach to a common vision.
