A Montana man, born and raised; I'm a cop who's working in his free time to become an author. I love the mountains, but have been charmed by the sea on rare occasions; I spend most of my time in a big sky state of mind. I'm a firm believer in courtesy, kindness, and fortitude. It helps if you can laugh, so I do my best to maintain a ticklish funny bone. When confronting challenges, opportunities, and life in general, I find my thoughts have recently become tempered by the statement, "Nothing ventured, Nothing gained."
I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, and the organization of the church is divinely appointed. I try to keep an open perspective and a measure of patience, as me and my fellow members are only human, and humans are pretty silly things. It is my goal to live by one of Christ's early exhortations to his apostles: "freely have ye received; freely give."
I very recently started cross fit (most possible torture in the smallest timeframe). I enjoy golf (went to the British Open in Scotland last year, plan to go to Ireland for the same in 2017). I am owner of a few firearms, with which I enjoy becoming more proficient. Hunting is a newly discovered pastime, though I hunt for meat, as I think a mere trophy is a poor reason to end a life. Reading is my greatest pleasure.. Family reunions, the great outdoors, and the odd road trip also end up in the mix.
