I am a man who is progressing towards the full measure of his creation and you are a woman on the threshold of your possibilities.
What excites me are people whose hearts are deep and loving, and who dream big -- and will do anything to see their visions come to life. It’s exciting finding a growing gem at the core of a beautiful, ambitious princess and a joy warming to it. To many people are jaded or negative, but you aren’t and neither am I. We will dream together, enabling each others creativity, strength and joy.
You know, and I know, Eternal Progression is alive and well in the here and now; meaning, we continue to find satisfaction and fulfillment in seeking information and means to improve self in all aspects of life. We exemplify The Slight Edge, knowing it’s the small daily disciplines that will include us in the 5%.
You value yourself, besides being a disciple, you seek learning and growth socially, emotionally and mentally. You cherish your body and care for it with a committed effort to keep it strong and well with a healthy diet, hydration and demanding exercise.
You value Integrity, how you live and how you present yourself.
You are capable and autonomous. Yet you also understand while salvation is an individual matter, exaltation is a family matter, that an equal partner and the family are the cauldron where Heavenly Father works His greatest refining. I need your help with this.
Who am I? By Tieger & Tieger’s assessment, a variant of the Myers-Briggs personality types, I am an Idealist, “...the most empathetic of the four temperaments." (Idealists are only about 15% of American population.) I'm closest to an INFP, who are the most idealistic of the Idealists, and "...are driven by their deep personal values and unique view of the world. They are gentle, reserved and even cool to those they don't know and trust, but warm, passionate, and committed to the people and things they care deeply about."
By Dr. Taylor Hartman’s People Code, I’m 45% White (Peacekeepers), 31% Blue (Connectors/Intimacy), followed by Yellow (Fun) then Red (Power). In the context of The 5 Love Languages, how they speak to each of us, mine are, in descending order, first and foremost, Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation and Quality Time are tied in second place, followed by Acts of Service , Receiving Gifts is a far last.
In the area of physical development and well being such as nutrition and exercise, I’m on the fanatical side of center...I think only moderately so...you may see it differently. LOL
It would be helpful for you to know although I am chronologically 70, I look, act, or feel much younger than I am. My “Real Age” is 64 (based on health, lifestyle, etc.; confirmed by the Wii evaluation. ;-)) Unless they learn otherwise, most people generally think I am about ten years younger than I am.
I am soft spoken, with six children, 11 grandchildren. I’m a health care provider. I do volunteer work, primarily related to church activity (living the gospel, serving others.) I enjoy being out doors doing such things as hiking, camping, shooting sports, gardening, swimming, boating, cycling. I also enjoy quiet times to read, ponder and plan.
I’m a convert. I joined the Church when I was 19. I attend church regularly and the temple approximately once a month. I do my Home Teaching regularly; have six families. I’m the Scout leader for the 11 year old boys in our Ward. And, I’m the Stake Sunday School President.
In the spirit of, “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me,” I’ve come to realize the tremendous significance of compatibility in a marriage relationship. In general the greater our compatibility the less time and energy we will loose in just getting along and the more we can spend doing good, having fun, winning the war to build Zion and enjoying the peace the Lord gives.
I’m seeking an eternal companion, a soul mate, my perfect person; not, a perfect person. I see us in a friendship where each brings out / reinforces the best in the other; a partnership striving to live the proclamation on the family. Are you the one with whom I can serve a couples proselyting mission in the not too distant future.
I am passionate about being the best I can be, continually improving; this in the context of being of service. We are all children of our heavenly father and are created to feel fantastic about our bodies and grateful for our lives. We are happiest when we serve, when we are helping others -- this includes each other. By improving ourselves we are better able to be a positive influence on others. My challenge is to become more and more Christ like in my life and my relationships. Thus, while progress has been made, I’ve a ways to go to fulfill the measure of my creation. Care to join me?
FYI, I plan to move west to be closer to most of my family in the near future.
