Tieger & Tieger have written several books on personality type. I am an Idealist, “...the most empathetic of the four temperaments." (Idealists are only about 15% of American population.) I'm closest to an INFP, who are the most idealistic of the Idealists, and "...are driven by their deep personal values and unique view of the world. They are gentle, reserved and even cool to those they don't know and trust, but warm, passionate, and committed to the people and things they care deeply about." I am friendly. I most likely initially appear "reserved and cool" because I don't talk much about myself, particularly my inner feelings, unless someone asks and I trust them.
In describing myself it would be helpful for you to know although I am chronologically 69, I look, act, or feel much younger than I am. My Real Age (based on health, lifestyle, etc.) is 64. Unless they learn otherwise, most people generally think I am about ten years younger than I am.
I am soft spoken, with six children, 10 8/9 grandchildren. I’m a health care provider. I do volunteer work, primarily related to church activity (living the gospel, serving others.) I enjoy being out doors doing such things as hiking, camping, shooting sports, gardening, swimming, boating, cycling. I enjoy quiet times to read, ponder and plan.
I am passionate about being the best I can be, continually improving; this in the context of being of service. We are all children of our heavenly father and are created to feel fantastic about our bodies and grateful for our lives. We are happiest when we serve, when we are helping others. By improving ourselves we are better able to be a positive influence on others. My challenge is to become more and more Christ like in my life and my relationships.
I’m seeking an eternal companion, a soul mate, my perfect person; not, a perfect person. I am seeking a companion for eternity, a person who is also striving to become more and more Christ like. I would like to be and have a best friend; have a friendship where each brings out / reinforces the best in the other; a partnership striving to live the proclamation on the family; one with whom I can serve a couples proselyting mission in the not too distant future. A sense of humor and a cared for body would also be a plus.
