I'm as comfortable at the symphony as I am in a mosh pit. I love live music, but have been modifying my experiences so as to keep the spirit close. Last concert was "Switchfoot" at the end of October. It was amazing! I love diversity and have enjoyed canoeing, riding on motorcycles and horses, theatre, open-mic poetry reading, drawing, playing the piano, volunteering with young writer's groups and travel.
I love the temple and go as often as I can, being three hours away. I love teaching gospel doctrine, which I've done for the last three years. I love to teach and I also teach parenting, communication and stress-reduction classes in the community.
I can enjoy viewing sports (better live than on tv), but don't like too much hype Over glorification of recreation personalities feels frivolous to me. My heroes are champions of social justice and freedom, such as Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks, Joseph Smith, and the Savior.
I love having fun and have a pretty quick wit, but I know when to take things seriously. I love to read and write. I like amusement parks. I love to hike and walk on the beach. I like to try new foods and watch a wide range of movies. I don't watch tv, but every once in a while I'll watch a tv show online.
I work at a transitional homeless shelter as a casemanager and really enjoy any work that allows me to help people reach their goals.
I'm passionate about my kids and beauty and the gospel and love.
