Hello! Thanks for stopping by.
I was just finishing up sewing my sons' school clothes by hand but was interruped by the timer--time to take the homemade bread out of the oven. Now, that I'm done with the sewing, I'm about to start working on my geneology for the evening. The research has been getting a bit difficult these days. Ever since I hit the 21st generation last Spring, I've had to put in an extra hour at the Family History center each day...Tomorrow will be filled with harvesting my garden followed up with a bit of canning...for my 2nd year's supply.
OK...HOLD IT! If this is the type of woman you want, you can stop reading. This ISN'T me. So, I can make a loaf of bread from scratch if necessary, but I'd rather buy it these days. My mother tried to teach me to sew for about 5 years without success, and I tried to do a garden once. After getting only one cucumber that was about 2 inches long from my season's efforts, I decided that it was a better investment of my time to buy produce from the grocery store.
I am just me...Candace. I work in the Marketing and Analysis department of an evil credit card company, which means I send YOU a lot of mail.
I go home each evening to my real job, that of being a Mother. I have two lively boys, ages 10 and 13, who are the pride and joy of my life.
I'd love to say that I sing, play 8 musical instruments, including the piano, speak 15 languages, and write poetry. My talents are a little more subtle. I'm good at organizing and planning things and leading groups of people.
I enjoy reading. I am an avid reader of suspense and action novels. I love to travel, Broadway shows, and art museums. I run, and movies are a great escape, and I also love going to sporting events, like baseball, football, and hockey.
