I guess we can start with the basics, I can read and write, eat with the proper utensils, name all 15 General Authorities and still love a day at Disneyland at my age! What else matters? OK, so you want descriptive details... I'm both playful and serious; I love to find the humor in all things, laugh until I have an asthma attack and people watch. I like getting to know people although I'm too shy to start the conversation. I can be opinionated, but don't have to always be right. I love the color red and chocolate; they just make me happy. I'm the favorite Auntie to my many nieces and nephews. I'm a positive and up-beat kind of person, analytical by nature and know there is a solution to every problem…the challenge is to find the ‘right’ solution for the problem at hand.
I'm a wannabe computer geek, an electronic gadget junkie and have been an eBay member in good standing since 1997. I love musicals and finally got to travel to New York to see Mary Poppins with two of my nieces...it was magical! Mary Poppins now joins Les Miserables and Dreamgirls as my favorite musicals. When I'm flipping through channels I always stop and watch Shawshenk Redemption. I love Biographies, any 'Flip this House' type show, Deadliest Catch and news magazine shows. I think West Wing was the best written series on TV....ever. I love to walk up and down the aisles at Home Depot but am just as comfortable at Barnes and Noble. I love my weekend house projects and enjoy the feeling I get when I have completed one. I will try almost anything and am not afraid to fail. I hate grocery shopping and cleaning the bathroom, but still do both regularly. One day I would love to take a ride in a hot air balloon.
For a timepan) I was working in CA and living in AZ and commuting back and forth each week...hence the screen name CA Gypsie...I have been in AZ for awhile and have given up spending a good portion of my week either in airports or driving along Interstate 10!
I learned that I love to teach the Gospel when I spent two years teaching early morning seminary for the high school juniors and seniors…I loved the kids but not the hours! I was an Ordinance Worker in the Mesa Temple for several years, but am taking a break now. I will go back when the Gilbert Temple is built. Working in the temple is an experience that cannot be described. While working in the temple, many people commented to me that I have "such a sweet spirit" something I have never heard outside those walls! :-)
I'm stable, successful in my own way, and am able to manage money (it's what I do for a living after all!). I own a home and car and am not looking for some guy with a checkbook to rescue me. I'm surprised at how many guys feel that way even more surprised at how many girls act that way. I know that a successful woman can be a turn off for some, but as I always say, would you WANT to date someone who was 40-something and still living at home with mom and dad?
What am I looking for? Someone who will honor the priesthood, open the door for me, take out the trash, take care of the cars, wants to be a family man and is looking for an eternal companion. It is still my goal to be married in the temple. I would enjoy having someone I love by my side but am independent enough that it doesn't have to be 24/7. If you like what you see and read, send a message. There are a lot of options out there and we thank you for choosing Southwest Airlines...oh, wait, wrong plug!
