While I have lived in New York for almost 3 years, I still consider myself to be from California. Of course, New York and I always go through through a rocky patch in our relationship between November and March, so I may be more excited to claim her as my home once she warms back up.

I got a PhD in Finance (Financial Economics) and now work building statistical models for a trading desk at an investment bank. I generally like what I do, and am pretty happy to have found a career that is a good fit for me.

I love to learn, to do, and to serve. I love pushing myself and almost always have a fitness goal that sounds a little crazy. I love to travel (really, who doesn't) and have been on a Central America kick for the past few years where I usually end up surfing. This winter I am switching it up and going to Florida to spend a few days learning how to race rally cars and then snowboarding in UT.
