We are happy to share our story. I had hopes that I would meet someone on this site, but I was just trying to do my part by trying to be out there. I did not spend much time writing or conversing with people, I just wanted to meet them to see if we clicked. I would write to out of state people if they wrote to me, and were planning a visit. I am so glad that Mark was aggressive enough to plan a trip to SLC, not knowing to much about me. I normally met people for a quick visit, but since he was driving all of the way from Washington State, I felt like I should at least meet him for a little bit longer. I didn't usually meet guys at night, so I got two other couples to meet us for dessert. He played along, and was a good sport. I immediately liked him and my friends fell in love. He was so entertaining, fun, and very attentive. We were just planning on that night, but he stayed in SLC for 3 more nights, each night asking me if I would like to go
out the next. Long story short, after countless phone calls, and a visit to Washington, I was smitten. He has visited SLC, and I Washington. On my last visit he asked me to marry him in front of the Columbia RiverTemple in Richland, Washington. I have waited for a man who not only is kind, and funny, and treats me well, but one who honors his Priesthood, and can take me to the temple. He is the love of my life. I am so excited!!!
I guess you could say that we met through acquaintances, but technically, the first contact came through LDS Singles. We flirted and messaged for a few months, until he called me. We discovered we had mutual acquaintances who "gave us the scoop" and we met and hit it right off. We've been dating for a few months, and he just proposed. We're getting married in a few months and I am so excited!!!

We were a COMPASS match.
We were a COMPASS match. My boyfriend joined the site a few weeks ago and saw only my profile as a match. He immediately assumed we could not be more different, based on photos alone. Even so, he contacted me to tell me that. Then he followed up with another message to say "although you do look good." That was the beginning. I found myself wondering why he thought we were so different. It turns out COMPASS was right, and we have quite a bit in common. Now my boyfriend laughs when he recalls that "a computer set us up."
