Success Stories: 2010
We grew up in the same area, and never crossed paths. I knew his little sister in High School, but never knew him. As the both of us have graduated college and started our careers, it was difficult to meet strong LDS Single Adults.
The two of us found each other on LDSSingles and went out shortly after connecting online. When we met, it just felt easy. The both of us were searching for the right person and we were shocked that each other hadn't been snatched up. I love him and I'm so happy I joined LDSSingles. Thank you!
The first thing I did was fill out the compatibility profile and started comparing it with others I thought I might like. The first week, I met my future fiance'. We were matched very high, the highest that either of us had seen. I lived in Illinois and he lived in Utah, which made it hard to meet and date. Because of the high compatibility, we gave it a try and now we are getting married!
I had thought about deleting my account awhile ago, but gave it another shot. I had done one last search and saw a really pretty girl and decided to check out her profile. I noticed things that seemed like similar interests and so I decided to flirt with her. After many phone calls and several dates later, I flew out to Ohio and proposed to her. She said yes. I am so thankful for this service and glad to have given it one more chance. She is so wonderful. I love her with all my heart. I am grateful for this site where I found the girl of my dreams and am now going through the temple because we have the same standards.
I met my husband in September of 2007 and we talked for a few weeks before meeting. We met at a local spot and hit it off. He stalked me until I agreed to date him and then he proposed. We were married in Feb of 2008.
David and I met on this site in April, we sent messages to each other and then started talking on the phone. Then he came to see me and now we are making plans for our wedding. Thank you for having this site for people like us. We did not match at the highest point, but we do seen to be made for each other.
We met on here about 3 weeks ago and we have grown a deep Love for each other...we are going to move closer to each other and we are both going to work on progressing to be sealed in the temple in 6 months...thank you for everything!
Richard was the actually the first profile I looked at when I signed up for LDS singles, his profile was so funny and he seemed like he would be a lot of fun to get to know, so I sent him just a little smile. He "winked" back, and we began to write. After three months of writing, we met and went out on a fantastic first date. It took three years, a lot of other dating experiences, and some relocating for us to figure out that we really were perfect for each other. We became friends through this site and luckily it became so much more!
I met the most amazing woman on this site she is 2, 400 miles away from me but that is not enough to slow me down.
I fly from the East coast to the Calf every month until we marry some time between November and Jan we have not set a date yet; but I did put a $14,000 ring on her finger.
I am grateful to have found her, I would die for her.

On June 2, 2010 Shelbyville (Sid) contacted me through the LDS singles website. We talked for a couple weeks and then arranged a meeting in Cincinnati after two and a half weeks. By this time I had fasted and prayed to determine if I should run away or trust this man that had sounded too good to be true. We met for lunch and I followed him back to his home town. We spent that evening getting to know each other better. I ended up staying in a motel that night so I could spend all day with him the next day. He didn't want me to leave and I didn't want to leave.
I went back home to Ohio and spent some time with my family before I was due to go back to work driving a semi truck. I talked to Sid every chance I could while we were camping and decided that I would come back down and see Sid on Fathers Day and go to church with him and his daughter. It was a wonderful experience meeting his church family and his daughter. I knew without reservation that I would marry him if he asked. We talked about marriage a lot and about my job and how it would hinder our relationship. We decided that I would quit my job and find a job in Kentucky, where I would be able to spend time with Sid. I found a job right off and was able to spend a lot of quality time with Sid.
On August 21, 2010 we were married. I count my blessings every day that Sid had decided to marry me. He has touched my life in ways that I thought would never be touched. As I sit here and write this, his co-worker came in and thanked me for being here with him because he is so much happier and at peace. So, I guess I have touched him in ways that he dreamed and prayed for too. He tells me all the time that I am a blessing from Heavenly Father and he is so grateful. I return those feeling for him and we are enjoying life together. I would rather spend a horrible day with Sid than one glorious day without him!!
When I was 14years old I was told I would never have children of my own. I am 36 years old and because I listened to Heavenly Father and married Sid we are now expecting a child. I am 4 months pregnant and everything is great. This is just further testimony of how important it is for all of us to listen, pray and have a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father. When I finally listened to what Heavenly Father wanted for me he gave me more than I ever dreamed I would have. This site provided the way for me to follow my Fathers council and do as he wanted me to do.
