Tom and I were married April 2, of this year. We met while he was on ldsso.
He was there only 10 days! We both think the Lord had a hand in it, however, I had an edge because Tom knew my brother and thought highly of him. He,
therefore, thought I was probably worth getting to know.
His wife had died just 2 months earlier. We dated during the 2002 Olympics and thereafter for about 4 months. He then began to feel guilty that he could fall in love so quickly. He had had a wonderful marriage and had married his high school sweetheart. We decided not to date any longer, but kept in contact through e-mails.
Two years later, I invited him to go to Jackson Hole with a couple of my brothers and their partners. HE WAS READY!!!!!!!!!! He accepted and we had a wonderful weekend together. On our third date, the second time around, he was asking me what I thought our time frame was. teehee
I had a son coming home from a mission in Nov. and he thought we should wait until he got home before we announced our intentions. However, my daughter then decided to get married in Jan. so I didn't want to rain on her parade, so we didn't get engaged until mid-Jan. We are blissfully happy. Had a wonderful cruise to the Mexican Riveria for our honeymoon, and have gone many places since.
Thank you, LDSSO.
