Success Stories: 2004
I met my husband on ldssingles.com. I never thought it would happen there. I had posted my profile just for fun, and to chat with people. I was a single mom with two boys. I went to a family ward, and didn't have an opportunity to meet many single lds guys. David emailed me the beginning of last September. We met and had our first date the end of September. When we met my first impression was that he was cute, really needed a haircut, a little too tall, he was 6'2", and me 5'2" (barely) and he looked like a peter priesthood, I didn't feel like a molly, and wasn't sure I was looking for a peter. He had a wonderful personality, and I thought we could be great friends. David was persistent, and called several times that week and came over for the long overdue haircut. Then the next weekend was conference, and he called and said his tv wasn't working, could he come over and watch conference with me, I said sure, and hung up the phone, and thought, well he worked out a good excuse to come over. The next week my x-husband took the kids for a week, and David saved me, we went out every night that week, and sat up talking half the night, that week I fell in love with this wonderful man. David proposed 6 weeks after we met, and I accepted. We were married February 6, 2004 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. My family is complete now, He is a wonderful husband, and father to the boys. I am so thankful to have the priesthood in my home.
Frankly, I never thought I would be writing a "success story" from my experience here, and yet here I am. David and I met in August 2003, we hit it off immediately, sparks were flying. We were married in the Manti Temple January 30, 2004. We both had been on lots of first dates with people we met on the site. (The kissing frogs analogy would fit nicely here.) We are both so happy and feel blessed to have met each other. Thank you LDSsingles for providing us with the opportunity to meet.
Dear LDS Singles Online:
After being bored with the dating scene in my area I decided to give in to peer pressure and submitt a profile to your website and less than a week later I met someone special. He too was tired of the dating scene in his area and had decided to give this a try. We chatted for only a few days when we decided we needed to meet and then a week later and about 50 hours of IM chat time, we met in person. Then only a week later he made all our marriage talk all official, when he got down on one knee and proposed. We are set to wed on 06/05/04 in the Seattle Washington Temple. Thanks to this wonderful website, I've found the man of my dreams! Now all we I hear is, "I told you so!"
My fiance' and I met, thanks to my friend forcing me to join this site! I never thought I'd meet the right one and now we're getting married!!! This internet thing really does work!
On Valentines Day "RICHB" asked me to marry him!!!! I sent him a flirt back in November and we had our first date Thanksgiving weekend. We have been together every weekend since!!!!
We have decided to get married on June 11th in the Logan temple and then me and the kids will be moving to Spanish Fork. We are both so happy that we gave this site a try. He was more reluctant than I was......but he is glad he tried it.
He is everything I have been looking for in a husband and we are so in love. Thanks again!!!!!
Thank you, LDSSingles.com!!! I had no idea when I first looked into the
service that I would end up getting married this way! I (Sunnydeelight) was
just looking for a good guy friend. The first guy to send me an email was
Flyboy55429, and we did become good friends. We were married on Nov. 7,
2003 in the Houston TX Temple, and it's been wonderful. You just never
know. I would never have looked in Minnesota, and he never would have
considered Texas. LDSSingles.com is just another great way to introduce
people to each other. Thank you for providing us with that avenue of
opportunity. We are so grateful!
Fran719 and ntrprse met in Feb.03 after corresponding on LDSsingles.com
for two weeks. We are engaged to be married in Mar. of 04. Thanks for
the wonderful service you provide to LDS singles around the world.
To all the singles out there: Don't give up! Fran719 stuck with it for
three years before I (Superman) came along. It may take a while to find
the right match.
